Wow, don't know where to start, life has been a bit of a rollercoaster recently, for those of you that don't know me I'm Josh Taylor from Prestonpans, East Lothian, Scotland.I've been boxing since I was 15 years old and after all the hard work I have recently qualified to compete for Team GB in the boxing event at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Before you click through the website I must say a big thanks to all the people that have helped me get this far in my life and my boxing career, firstly my Mum & Dad, my wee sister Finch and my girlfriend Danielle, without them I would not be in this position, secondly Terry McCormack and the team at Lochend Amateur Boxing Club, Terry's training & coaching expertise has made me the boxer that I am today, he has fine tuned me into becoming an Olympic Athlete. Thirdly, all the other members of my family and the friends that have supported me in my quest to become one of the best boxers in the world.
More recently due to social media websites such as Facebook & Twitter I have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and the amount of peolpe that have clicked "Like" on our Facebook page, thank you all very much, it certainly gives me a boost when I have you lot behind me.
Last but not least, the British Amateur Boxing Association and their team of elite coaches and sports science professionals whom have no doubt helped bring out the best in me which has allowed me perform at the highest level.
I'm looking forward to representing Scotland & Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics and will certainly be going for gold!.
